BlinkCut Privacy Policy

BlinkCut is a video editing app developed by Rullit. This Privacy Policy explains what information BlinkCut processes, what information we collect, and how we protect your privacy.

Local Video Processing

BlinkCut is designed to process your videos directly on your iPhone.

Your imported videos, audio, captions, transcripts, edits, Smart Zoom analysis, and exported videos are processed locally on your device.

Your video content is not uploaded to Rullit's servers during normal use.

Face Data and Smart Zoom Analysis

BlinkCut uses Apple Vision on your device to detect face rectangles in imported videos for Smart Zoom and vertical reframing. The app stores only temporary project metadata such as face bounding boxes, timestamps, tracking confidence, and whether a point was tracked or reacquired. BlinkCut does not identify who appears in a video, does not create face templates or faceprints, does not use Face ID data, and does not use face data for authentication, advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Face analysis is used only to keep the visible speaker framed, generate Smart Zoom motion, classify the local editing style, report whether face tracking was stable, and fall back to a center crop when no face is detected.

Face data is processed and stored locally on the user's device as part of the local project file. It is not uploaded to Rullit servers and is not shared with third parties. Face data remains on the device with the local project unless the user deletes the project or removes the app.

Information We Collect

BlinkCut does not collect:

Support Requests

If you contact us for support, we receive only the information you choose to provide, which may include:

We use this information solely to respond to your support request.

Purchases

BlinkCut uses Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Rullit does not receive your payment information or credit card details.

Diagnostics

If you enable Apple's analytics or crash reporting, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash reports or diagnostic information to help improve BlinkCut.

This information does not include your imported videos or exported content.

Data Retention

Because BlinkCut processes videos locally, your creator content remains on your device unless you choose to delete it.

Face-analysis metadata for Smart Zoom is retained only in the local project on the user's device and is removed when the local project or app data is deleted.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide customer support.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
